Do you suffer from stress, or the physical and emotional symptoms associated with stress?
The Breathworks Mindfulness for Stress course teaches mindfulness skills to help improve your quality of life.
We live in busy times. Stressful events happen and we may not be able to anything about them, but, we can change how we respond to them. As the saying goes – ‘you can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.’
Stressful experiences are part of life. Mindfulness doesn’t get rid of the stress and challenges we face, but it can help us to change our relationship to them.
So, you might still be under pressure to get that job done, you may still be stuck in that traffic jam or the weather may be awful, again. But, through mindfulness practices we can learn to relate to such challenges with a calmer, kinder perspective, without so many of the unhelpful thoughts and feelings that our minds tend to throw up in reaction to stressful experiences.
And, by not expending as much physical and emotional energy when responding to stress, we create new space for positive change in all aspects of our lives.
Who is the course for?
These courses are suitable for anyone experiencing stress associated with work, relationships, loss and other factors outside your control. Also for those who want to learn strategies to deal with the general complexity and pace of modern life.
This internationally recognised 8-week course from Breathworks is now available in four longer, fortnightly sessions.
Each session is 4 hours long, with breaks. The final session runs for a full day from 10am to 5pm. There is a two week space between sessions to allow you to practice and absorb the course materials at home.
The course price also includes a comprehensive pack of learning and study materials: A handbook and a set of guided mindfulness meditations designed specifically for this course. The meditations are available on CD, USB memory stick or by internet download.
This course is designed to be accessible and easy to follow, and the course takes place in a friendly and welcoming environment. Support from tutors is given throughout the course and you don’t need to bring anything with you other than your interest and curiosity!
At the end of the course you will have a toolbox of meditations, daily practices, concepts and ideas for living that will support you in your on-going journey to a happy, healthy relationship with life and all of its ups and downs.
